The door was knocked in by a massive dark hulk. He was wearing a spiked purple armor and carried a massive two-handed axe in his hands. Underneath the horned helmet a skull was visible, with eye sockets as dark and deep as death itself. Lena screamed and the undead fixed his empty gaze on the three. The mother stood in front of her children clutching a kitchen knife in her hands. “If you touch them I will kill you!” She shouted, eyes flaring with a rage that surpassed all sense of fear. The Skeletal hulk made a deep sound that resembled a chuckle, and moved towards the shaking woman. She plunged the knife at the armored chest, which only resulted in the knifes blade breaking. The undead chuckled again, grabbed the mother by the throat with his armored hand, and threw her through the room into the wall on the opposite side, with a power that would break most bones in a body. She hit the floor in a grotesque posture, twitched once and didn't move after that. The purple-armored hulk then turned his attention to the children. He lifted up his giant axe for a killing cleave, but just before he swung the weapon, a voice rang out from the street.
“Ajax, where are you?” The voice was dark and demanding, but a clearly a woman's. The Undead seized his attack and and roared “Here, my lady”. Alejandro and Lena were too terrified to move, as another figure entered the room. She was clad in black and red clothing and had a long, blood-spattered sword with a golden hilt in her right hand. Her skin was pale, with a slight purple hue, and in her coldness she was beautiful.
The woman threw a quick glance at the corpse of the mother, then went to the abomination. “Now what have we here, Ajax? Interesting... Very interesting.” The monster looked at the woman and then back at the children. “Shall I take care of them, or would you like to do the honors?” The woman thought for a moment. “Actually...” She paused “I think I have special plans with these two.” She knelt down in front of the two, both of them to frightened to make any sound at all. “Ajax, I want you to bring these two to the the nearby city Vanacia. Place them in the care of Baron Sartrus and his wife, and make sure no one sees you.” The massive figure looked slightly confused, but remained still. The woman looked at Alejandro and smiled. “What's your name son?” He didn't answer. “Are you afraid of Ajax? I understand, he sometimes lacks manners. I bet he didn't even introduce himself when he entered.” Alejandro shook. “He killed my mother!” He shouted. “Did he really?” The woman said, sending the armored skeleton a judging look. “But don't worry, dear children, Belladonna is here to make it up to you. Tell me, son, have you ever been kissed by a girl before?” Alejandro didn't have time to react, before the woman plunged her teeth into his neck and he screamed, as an agony like never before surged through his body. After what seemed an eternity the woman pulled away blood covering her mouth, and turned to Lena, who was shaking wildly now. “And you, dear daughter, shall also share in the gift.” Lena made no sound at all as she was bitten deeply by the woman. Her eyes just stared emptily ahead, as blood was stained her dress. The woman stood up, and dried her mouth with a handkerchief. “Do you remember your orders, Ajax?” “Of course, My mistress.” He mumbled deeply. “Good, I want you to return to the army immediately afterwords. Magnus will know that something is amiss.” She went towards the door. The undead hulk turned towards her “But my lady, why?” The woman paused before the door, and looked at Alejandro and Lena “Because in a not too distant future, Countess Belladonna will now not have to follow the wishes of the oh-so mighty husband Magnus, but instead have an army and a bloodline of her own. These two shall be the cornerstone of my own empire, and they shall build me a throne, to rule as I see fitting. However, we must give them a name, so they can be recognized.” She fetched two golden rings from a small satchel and muttered a few unintelligible words. Sinister blood red letters appeared on the rings forming the same word. “The world shall know them as the Dragovicz, for they shall be powerful as dragons.” With a flick of her hand, she conjured two silver chains and attached the rings to them. She then went to the children and hung one of the chains with a ring around each of their necks, them both having fallen unconscious in the meantime. She then went towards the exit again. “Oh, and Ajax.. Don't ever ask me ´why´!”
